Call for Project Proposals: October 2025

The Dalmatian Islands Environmental Foundation (DIEF) is announcing a new call for project proposals aimed at fostering environmental protection and sustainability on the Dalmatian Islands!

 

Who Can Apply?

Local non-profit organisations with a strong commitment to creating a greener, more sustainable future for the Dalmatian archipelago are invited to apply.

 

Project partners may include:

  • institutions operating in accordance with the Law on Institutions
  • local and regional self-government units
  • associations – established, registered, and operating in accordance with the Law on Associations
  • cooperatives – entered in the Register of Non-Profit Organisations and established in accordance with Article 66, Paragraph 1 of the Law on Cooperatives

 

What Are We Looking For?

DIEF seeks innovative, impactful projects that align with our key focus areas:

  • Habitat and Biodiversity Conservation
  • Regenerative Land Use
  • Sustainable Development & Resource Management

 

We are looking for clear and compelling proposals that focus on creating measurable, sustainable long-term results. Projects should prioritise capacity building, engage local communities, and make the most of local expertise and resources.

The expected start of project implementation is January 2026.

 

Where Will the Projects Be Implemented?

We encourage projects across the Dalmatian Islands and will prioritise those with the potential for repeatability to amplify their positive impact beyond their immediate area.

 

How to Apply

Before completing the online application, we encourage you to contact Inga, our Executive Director (inga@dalmatianenvironment.org), by sharing a short concept note (maximum 500 words) in Croatian or English, along with the budget. This will allow us to provide early insights and share relevant guidance regarding our funding priorities.
